Yurt 1

Yurt 1 is a backcountry yurt-style wilderness hut at Goblin Valley State Park in Utah. It sleeps up to 5 people and is set up with bunk beds (twin on top, double on bottom) plus a futon couch, using electric lighting and having heating/air-conditioning via a swamp cooler.

The yurt includes a deck and grilling setup (including an outdoor propane grill and fire pit). Guests typically walk about 150 feet from the parking area on a gravel trail to reach the yurt. Nearby restrooms include pit toilets, with indoor toilets and showers available at the main campground a short walk away.

Rates for Yurt 1 are listed as $150 per night plus tax, and reservations are made through the park’s reservation system. Bedding/linens aren’t provided, so you’ll need to bring your own sleeping bags or bedding and cookware/food. Up to two dogs are allowed in the yurt for an extra fee of $20 each.

For planning, Goblin Valley State Park notes possible wait times during periods of especially high visitation; the yurt fees are $150 + tax, and the park also lists day-use fee rules separately for non-camping visits.
