Otterbody - Grand Teton

Max elevation: 13,776' Linear distance to top: 6 miles Vertical gain to top: 7,140' Run length: 6,670' Max slope angle: 48+ Technical: 3-4 short pitches of ice climbing on the ascent, and four 60 meter rappels on the descent (two 60m ropes recommended), 1-3 ice screws, 4-6 stoppers (to beef up anchors if needed), and technical ice climbing tools, steel crampons are needed. I would bring some beaks, and knifeblade pitons as the rappel anchors are hard to find. Considerations: This line is the real deal. Some will do it in two days but most just get an alpine start and do it in one epic day. I guide this, and all the other, objectives. If you want a guide to increase your margin of safety, get some amazing photos of you, and help with the risk management, shoot me an email: mark@smileysproject.com

Glacier Route

Max elevation: 12,805' Linear distance to top: 5.8 miles Vertical gain to top: 6,170' Run length: 5,690' Max slope angle: 45+ Technical: Ski crampons, boot crampons, ice axe recommended. A 30 meter rope to belay the steepest pitches might come in handy. There are crevasses on the glacier, so consider roping up...but most just walk and ski around them. Considerations: One of the Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America, so that's cool right?

25 Short

Max elevation: 9900' Linear distance to top: 3.5 miles Vertical gain to top: 3,260' Run length: 3,260' Max slope angle: 35 Not Technical Considerations: One of the closest ski objectives in the Park. A great place to start, but it almost never gets old because there are so many great lines down this feature.

Chute the Moon

Max elevation: 10,274' Linear distance to top: 3.87 miles Vertical gain to top: 3642' Ski Run Length: 3342' Max slope angle: 42-ish Technical: Not technical Considerations: Feels very committing to drop in to this side but its worth it. It is a long day.
