Top of the World Trail
Top of the World Trail is a short hike loop in Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba, built around a lookout over Falcon Lake.
Plan on about 3.9 km for the loop with roughly 50 m of elevation gain, typically finishing in about 1 to 1.5 hours.
The route climbs through Canadian Shield terrain—rock faces and boreal forest—so expect a mix of exposed rock and forest footpaths as you work toward the high point.
The “loop” format means you start and finish at the same parking area, rather than doing a point-to-point hike.
Common access starts at the Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes public parking lot at the very end of Ridge Road near Falcon Trails Resort (close to the Manitoba–Ontario border).
Park vehicle access is required to get into Whiteshell Provincial Park; factor in time at the gate/entry. The trail is also popular with mountain bikers, so be ready to yield on shared sections.
