Abri de la Jasse du Play

Abri de la Jasse du Play is a small, unstaffed emergency shelter in the Vercors (capacity about 10). It sits on the GR91 and is used as a backcountry stop on long traverses through the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors.

Use is free and there’s no booking; expect it to be first-come, first-served. The shelter has a wood stove/cheminée and basic furnishings (table and benches), but no drinking water is provided on site—plan to reach nearby water sources. In the Vercors Nature Reserve area, fires are prohibited and bivouac is allowed only within set night hours (17:00–09:00).
