Bergerie du Madres

Bergerie du Madres is an unmanaged pastoral hut at 1,865 m in the Pyrenees. It’s seasonally occupied in summer by a shepherd couple.

Inside, there’s a small area with tables, benches, and a fireplace, but no sleeping space or bedding is provided—so plan to bivouac with your own gear. The hut is typically reached via the Col du Garabeil, then a forest track; the track beyond the barrier is not for unauthorized vehicles.
