Bunk House
Bunk House is a Baxter State Park backcountry wilderness hut (a bunkhouse-style lodging) operated by Baxter State Park Authority. The bunkhouse setup uses wooden bunks and is designed for off-grid backcountry stays.
For Baxter’s bunkhouse stays, reservations are handled through the park’s Reservations Office by phone, using a rolling window (opening about 4 months before the stay). Typical bunkhouse stays are rented as private cabins for a flat rate (around $135 per night), with firewood provided. The bunkhouse does not have running water, cooking facilities, or electricity—bring your own sleeping bag and sleeping mat, and plan to cook with your own camp stove.
