Cabane de la Bécasse
Cabane de la Bécasse is a small rustic backcountry hut at Praslay (Haute-Marne), set in a coteau between forest and marsh. It’s built from local materials—wood and straw—with a vegetation roof, and it sits on stilts with a terrace.
Inside, the hut is intended for an overnight stop with space for 2 people, with the possibility to stretch to about 4–5 places. There are no provisions like a fireplace or stove; there’s also no door.
Use is free and there’s no reservation system or privatization. It’s open year-round, but during the hunting season from late September to late February you should avoid access on weekends.
