Cabane de la Goyët
Cabane de la Goyët is a small, unstaffed backcountry cabin near Bay-sur-Aube, built in dry stone with cordwood walls. It has sleeping space for 4, a wood-burning stove, a wooden mezzanine for sleeping, and dry toilets. Use is free and the cabin is open year-round.
Access is from the D187 between Bay and Germaines: from the wood-depot parking area, turn left into the “Charme ronde” field about 100 m before the forest entrance, then follow the yellow trunk marks to the hut. It’s equipped for cold nights, but there are rules around fire—open fires are strictly forbidden around the cabin—and during the hunting season (late September to late February) you should avoid going there on weekends.
