Cabane Du Roitelet

Cabane Du Roitelet is a small, unguarded mountain shelter in the Vosges that’s used for simple overnight refuge. It’s set up with a large table and two benches, plus a wood-burning stove and an interior stock of cooking items; there’s also wood for a fire.

Use is free and no booking or reservation system is required—expect first-come, first-served sleeping space. It’s reached from the forestry road below the GR 532 trail coming from the Col du Hantz, and there’s no drinking water at the hut itself (water is not provided on site).

The hut is equipped with a fireplace/wood stove, but there’s no mattress sleeping system; plan to bring your own sleeping setup and supplies. Leave it tidy and take care of any firewood you use so the next visitors find it in good condition.
