Dawson Overland Trail Warming Hut
The Dawson Overland Trail Warming Hut is a small, volunteer-built warm-up cabin on the Dawson Overland Trail route corridor in the Yukon. It’s designed as a roadside stop for winter trail users and includes an enclosed dry shelter with a wood stove plus sleeping space inside (bunk bed).
Use is free and no reservation is required. It’s intended for warming, stopping for a break, cooking, and it can also be used to stay overnight if you need to; you’re expected to leave the hut and its surrounding area clean and ready for the next person.
The hut has a nearby fire pit and picnic table. It’s unmaintained in the formal sense (no staffed service or park-operator upkeep), so plan for self-sufficiency and backcountry winter conditions before you go.
