Disappointment Spur Hut
Disappointment Spur Hut is a tiny backcountry hut in Kosciuszko National Park, set up for basic shelter with two sleeping platforms and about 6 people. It’s a simple fibro/wooden build with no stove or fireplace, and there are no toilet facilities at the hut itself (use a nearby toilet instead).
Plan on bringing your own heating and cooking solution and everything you need for sleeping. There’s no nearby running water—water is available within about 100 m—so treat and manage your water for the night. If you’re planning an overnight, build your trip around the hut being very small: it can be an emergency stop or short layover, but don’t rely on it as your only accommodation option.
