La Cigale

La Cigale is a rustic backcountry shelter operated by SÉPAQ in Parc national d’Aiguebelle. It’s intended for winter overnights and is reached by a snowshoe trek from the park’s Discovery and Visitors Center, with the approach described as roughly 4 km in length and featuring a steep final push (about 50 m of elevation gain over the last ~800 m).

There’s a fee associated with use of the shelter. Plan on reserving ahead because stays can fill quickly during peak winter periods. The shelter has a wood stove and no electricity.
