La Guêpe

La Guêpe is a SÉPAQ rustic wilderness shelter in Parc national d’Aiguebelle, used as an outfitting-style base for short backcountry trips on and around Lac La Haie. The hut is a Camp rustique (rustic hut) setup intended for a small group.

It sleeps up to 2 people. Use is year-round, with winter trail access tied to snowshoeing routes in the park.

Inside, there’s a wood stove and a propane fireplace, but you bring your own two-burner propane cylinder. Plan to bring sleeping bags and water, and use the nearby dry toilet facilities rather than expecting a full washroom setup.

Booking is done through the Sépaq online reservation process for the rustic hut option (Camp rustique / Rustic Hut).

When preparing, think of this as an off-grid shelter: bring a headlamp/lighting, your food and water, and the sleeping gear you’ll need for overnight cold. The hut is described as being accessible by paddling/canoe route in summer trip planning around Lac La Haie.
