Le Huard

Le Huard is a backcountry wilderness hut operated by Sépaq, with a sleeping capacity for up to 16 people. Use is reservation-based, and the hut has a fee (fee is required).

Bookings are handled by phone through the Sépaq Customer Relations Centre at +1-800-665-6527, and backcountry hut reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Summer access is by foot and can be by car depending on the season, near the Lac Thibault parking lot; in winter it can be accessed by backcountry or alpine touring skiing, or on foot.

Le Huard is a key stop on the La Grande Traversée long-distance trail, and it can be used with the park’s baggage transport service. During passenger shuttles, you can also leave a food drop-off box at Le Huard hut.
