Route Details

Lone Lake Cabin is a wilderness hut in Waterton Lakes National Park used as a backcountry warden patrol cabin, with access restricted to park staff, trail crews, and emergency use—overnight booking or cabin rentals aren’t offered.

The cabin sits about 15 kilometres up Blakiston Creek from Red Rock Canyon trailhead. If you’re traveling for the same area on the Tamarack Trail or the Great Divide Trail, you can instead plan for camping at the adjacent Lone Lake Campground, with wilderness camping permits handled through Parks Canada’s reservation system.
