Lower Road Side Wall
Lower Road Side Wall is a sport-climbing sector at Slesse Creek in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley. The limestone wall has eight routes, ranging from 5.10a to 5.12a, with short lines and notably difficult starts. The rock offers distinctive coral-like holds, though some sections can be sharp or slippery.
The wall sits immediately beside the parking area, roughly 20 metres from the road. From Chilliwack, follow signs toward Chilliwack Lake; after about 15 minutes on Chilliwack Lake Road, park at the large pullout just before the bridge over Slesse Creek, then cross the road into the forest. The cliff is reached almost immediately. Morning shade and afternoon sun make the sector useful across changing conditions, and the limestone can remain climbable during rain. Routes are under 25 metres; all are bolted, with the first bolt intended for stick-clipping. Belayers are strongly advised to wear helmets.
