Mt. Shasta Ski Park Beyond the Boundaries Backcountry Cabin

Mt. Shasta Ski Park Beyond the Boundaries Backcountry Cabin is a small off-grid backcountry lodging option within Mt. Shasta Ski Park’s Beyond the Boundaries program area. Access is by backcountry skiing or splitboarding, with an uphill trek that typically takes 1–2 hours, and skins required for skis and splitboards.

The stay is set up with two rustic cabins: a cooking cabin and a sleeping cabin. The cooking cabin includes a wood stove and cooking basics, while the sleeping cabin has bunks for seven and a wood stove. A composting toilet is provided, and the backcountry setup also includes propane lighting, padded bunks, and a portable fireplace.
