Nebo Cabin
Nebo Cabin is a rustic log wilderness cabin in Wilderness State Park, operator-managed by the State of Michigan. It’s a 5-bunk cabin designed for a small group: it sleeps up to 5 people (two bunk beds plus one regular bed).
Plan on hike-in access: it’s about a 2-mile walk or ski-in/hike-in from the Nebo Trailhead. The cabin has a wood-burning stove for heat, a table and benches, and storage shelves; water is available via a hand pump in front of the cabin, with an outhouse a short walk down the hill.
Bring personal gear for sleeping (sleeping bags, pillows, and toiletries). Cooking is limited to camp stove use, and there’s no electricity—use headlamps or flashlights at night.
Reserve the cabin in advance through the Michigan State Parks reservation system (bookings can be made up to six months ahead). The typical rate is about $60 per night, and a park vehicle entry fee applies for drive-in access to the trailhead area; use is reservation-based rather than walk-up first-come-first-served.
