Purple Peak Shelter
Purple Peak Shelter is an unstaffed daytime hiker shelter on Banks Peninsula, near Akaroa, New Zealand, used for sheltering from alpine weather while tramping and moving between local routes.
Use is for daytime rest only; overnight lodging or camping is not permitted. The shelter is small and is not set up with beds or cooking facilities, and there are no restrooms, running water, or electricity—bring your own water and plan to carry out all waste.
