Refuge des Adus
Refuge des Adus is a private wooden mountain hut in the Mercantour area, set at 2,163 m on the forest edge just below the cime and the small Lac des Adus. It’s maintained in part by hunters in partnership with the local town of Saint-Martin-Vésubie, and visitors are asked to show strong respect for the place because maintenance relies heavily on volunteers.
Plan for a reservation/booking by phone with the person who manages stays (Pierre Fiorucci). Stays are generally arranged from November through August, but outside the hunting period; because it’s a smaller refuge, calling directly is the most reliable way to secure a place for the summer season. For your trip, bring the essentials needed for a small refuge night and be mindful of how much volunteer labor keeps it running.
