Refuge des Cascades
Refuge des Cascades is a backcountry cabin (wilderness hut) in Parc du Massif du Sud, Quebec, designed for multi-night stays in the park. It sleeps 6 (maximum 8), and the on-site setup includes a dry toilet and nearby water access; a wood stove is provided with one box of wood included, and cooking gear plus drinking-water logistics are part of the stay package.
Use is exclusive and the cabin is offered for online reservation through the park’s reservation system. Pricing shown for Refuge des Cascades includes a regular nightly rate of $109 (and a reduced nightly rate of $89 where applicable), with an extra $10 per additional person up to the maximum of 8; a minimum stay of two nights is required during the high season (weekends, holidays, Christmas and New Year period, spring break, and construction holidays).
What to bring: sleeping pads, sleeping bags, pillows; food and cooking amenities; and a headlamp or flashlight, plus dish towels. In the winter period, access is on foot only from the visitor centre parking lot, and a sled is provided to move luggage from the parking lot to the accommodation.
