Refuge du Grossmann

Refuge du Grossmann is an unmanned backcountry refuge (cabane non gardée) maintained by the Club Vosgien. It’s set up for self-service stops rather than staffed overnight stays, with tables and benches inside and a wood stove for cooking.

Use is first-come, first-served with no booking system. The upper floor is closed off and the door is sealed because of safety concerns; plan accordingly and bring what you need for sleeping and stove use. A nearby water point called Source du Grossmann is described close to the hut; recent reports indicate the flow can vary (it may not be running at all times).
