Refuge du Ruisseau-Creux
Refuge du Ruisseau-Creux is an alpine-style backcountry hut on the International Appalachian Trail in Quebec, used for multi-day hiking on the IAT. It’s part of the Avignon sector supported by Nature Aventure’s IAT-QC operation, and it’s a designated shelter stop for thru-hike style itineraries in this region.
The hut has capacity for up to 8 people. Use is by reservation via the SIA/IAT-QC Reservotron portal, and questions about building multi-day itineraries can be handled through Nature Aventure by phone or email.
For independent hiking on the IAT in this area, Nature Aventure also offers optional resupply for certain cabins; Refuge du Ruisseau-Creux is included in that resupply service. Basic multi-day hut packing is still on you (sleeping bag and the standard IAT kit), and use planning should assume an in-hut night between trail days.
