Refuge du Ruisseau Noir

Refuge du Ruisseau Noir is a rustic backcountry hut on the Sentier national Bas-Saint-Laurent, run by Sentier national Bas-Saint-Laurent. It’s a small shelter designed for overnight stops on the “Les Érables” segment, with forest setting and a nearby stream as a water source.

The refuge sleeps up to 8 people per night. Inside, there is a wood stove, and there’s an outside dry toilet. Water comes from the nearby stream and must be treated before drinking.

Typical rates run about $20–$25 per person/night (with discounts for members), and there’s an option to privatize the whole hut for about $200.
