Refuge du Ruisseau Noir is a rustic backcountry hut on the Sentier national Bas-Saint-Laurent, run by Sentier national Bas-Saint-Laurent. It’s a small shelter designed for overnight stops on the “Les Érables” segment, with forest setting and a nearby stream as a water source.

The refuge sleeps up to 8 people per night. Inside, there is a wood stove, and there’s an outside dry toilet. Water comes from the nearby stream and must be treated before drinking.

Use is by reservation in advance, handled through the Sentier national Bas-Saint-Laurent booking system. The booking contact listed for the hut is +1-418-714-2599. Typical rates run about $20–$25 per person/night (with discounts for members), and there’s an option to privatize the whole hut for about $200.
