Refuge Huppé
Refuge Huppé is an backcountry hut near Lac Huppé on the Sentier national de la Mauricie. It’s set up for overnight trips (1–2 nights) and is typically used as an on-trail lodging stop rather than a self-contained destination camp.
The hut is seasonal, open from 1 May to 30 November and closed from 1 December to 30 April. Sleeping capacity is 12 people. The hut includes mattresses and basic cooking/meal gear—dishware, cooking pots, a wood stove, and a dish-washing kit—while you bring your own sleeping bag and your food. The hut is closed to key access; a code is provided to people who rent the refuge for their stay.
Cost is $35 per night per adult and $30 per night per person under 18. Reservations aren’t handled through an automated online portal; you book by contacting the hut operator directly, typically by email (info@sentiernationalmauricie.ca) or via their contact form.
