Refugio Arenales

Refugio Arenales is a backcountry alpine hut near the Cajón de Arenales area in Tunuyán, Mendoza. It functions as a base for visits to the climbing zone in the Manzano–Portillo de Piuquenes natural reserve area, and it’s commonly used for overnight stays and camping in the surrounding designated camping zones.

The hut has limited overnight capacity (around 20 people). Access is typically open through the day, and early entry is generally recommended to make the approach time easier to manage.
