Refugio El Dormilón (Acceso sólo con llave)

Refugio El Dormilón (Acceso sólo con llave) is a mountain hut in Patagonia (Cerro Dormilón area near Villa La Angostura, within Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi) used as a restricted backcountry overnight option. Use is not open to the general public: you need authorization and the key to stay or make use of the hut.

Access is typically by boat across Lago Nahuel Huapi, followed by a trek from the El Arbolito area (near the Martínez family) to the refuge. The hut is associated with the Club Andino Villa La Angostura, and it has historical roots dating back to its inauguration in May 1933, with later reconstruction work starting after 1998 and a reinauguration dated 31 March 2012. On-site, plan for a rustic setup; prepare to travel and camp/backpack accordingly without assuming public services.
