South Yurt

South Yurt is a wilderness yurt at Hidden Valley Nature Center near Jefferson, Maine, used for remote overnight stays. It’s a walk-in yurt experience, so you’ll need to hike, ski, or snowshoe in with your gear—there’s no vehicle access to the yurt itself.

It’s an off-grid setup with an outhouse, but no running water or electricity available on-site. Dogs are welcome if they’re kept on a leash at all times. Overnight yurt stays are managed through the Hidden Valley’s reservation system and are handled by Midcoast Conservancy, with reservations released on a rolling, month-at-a-time schedule.
