The Portal

The Portal is a 40-foot mixed-climbing line on the Alpine Simulator Wall, with an obvious black chimney and a hand crack running up its back. Four lead bolts protect the route to a vertical bolt-and-Euro-style anchor.

Rated M4-, it is described as winter groveling practice. Ice may form on the upper slabs in winter, changing the movement and making the line less obvious; it has also been climbed without tools.
