Yurt 8
Yurt 8 is one of the Moenkopi Yurts at Dead Horse Point State Park, a reservation yurt stay for up to 6 people. It’s set within the park’s yurt area near the entrance, used for overnight stays rather than backcountry hiking shelters.
Reservations are handled through Utah State Parks’ ReserveAmerica system on a four-month rolling basis. The yurt listing also includes park rules such as no smoking, no cooking, and no open flames inside the structure, plus quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM; pets are generally not allowed in the yurts.
The Moenkopi yurts are set up with electricity, air conditioning/heating (propane heating is referenced for yurt stays), and fire pits, and they’re equipped with a deck and outdoor tables. Campground policies for the park also note that there are no showers for Dead Horse Point State Park; water must be handled by the camper before arrival, and EV charging isn’t available for yurt occupants.
