Family Crag
Family Crag is a small sport-climbing crag in the Suicide area near Pemberton, with 10 routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.11d. The 16–25 m routes combine technical face climbing, thin slabs, and small overhangs.
The wall sits in old-growth forest and is reached in a couple of minutes from the highway parking area, just beyond the train bridge and before Suicide Hill when travelling from Whistler toward Pemberton. Access involves crossing the highway, locating the forest path on the left, and following a flagged trail west-northwest. The main season is May to October; a seasonal creek can flood the access rail in April and early May.
Helmets are required. Expect loose rock, including thin semi-loose quartz bands that continue to exfoliate, and climb with appropriate caution around the wall.
