Copper Cove

Copper Cove is a compact coastal crag in West Vancouver, about five minutes from the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. Its west-facing granite walls range from roughly 15 to 30 metres and include slab, vertical, overhung, and roof climbing. The area is mostly sport climbing, with some mixed and trad options; the current area breakdown contains 41 routes, including 14 at Copper Cove Wall.

Approach from Marine Drive via Copper Cove Road to the beach, then follow the beach to the right. The climbing base is tide-dependent: plan around a low tide, with access becoming problematic as water levels rise above about 3 metres. Parking near the beach is limited, so keep the residential access clear and be quiet around nearby homes. Copper Cove remains under development; camping and fires are not permitted.
