Abri des Ruisseaux
Route Details
Abri des Ruisseaux is a backcountry day-turned-refuge hut operated by Parc Montagne du Diable, in the centre of the park’s trail network. It can accommodate up to 4 people (1 double bed and 2 single beds) and sits where pedestrian hiking trails and ski nordique routes intersect; it’s also reached by either hiking or snowshoeing from P2. Use requires online reservation, and you pick up the key for access to the beds at the Village des Bâtisseurs (P2) reception (arrival and departure time both at 10:00).
The hut is set up for self-sufficiency: you’ll sleep in the provided matresses and bring a sleeping bag (and a pillow if you want more comfort), plus your own cooking gear. Park guidance lists a wood stove/poêle à bois with heating wood, plus basic items and supplies you should expect to handle yourself (including water planning; there’s no nearby potable water in the mountain refuges area). Dogs are not admitted in the huts/refuges in the mountain sector, and reservations are required. Costs are given for stays at the hut (prices depend on the number of people), and access to the park for adults is charged unless you have membership; details are set out on the operator’s booking page.
