Abri du Blaufels

Abri du Blaufels is a non-guarded backcountry hut at about 812 m. Access is on the marked red/white footpath between Willer-sur-Thur and the farmhouse of the Rossberg; there’s no vehicle access. The hut has a fireplace/chimney available, with no dedicated bedding (no mattresses or blankets), and no water within 100 m; there are also no latrines. It’s also that there’s no saw or axe available, so plan to come self-sufficient.

It isn’t a reservable shelter: as a non-guarded refuge, anyone can seek shelter on the spot, even if it feels busy. The site is set up for emergency refuge use, so come prepared to manage your own waste and supplies, including bringing water and suitable gear for night use.
