Abri du Moucherotte

Abri du Moucherotte is a small backcountry shelter near the Moucherotte plateau at an elevation of about 1,836 m. It’s an unstaffed-style stop designed for basic overnight use: no mattresses are provided, and fires aren’t allowed—plan for a bivouac kit and a cold-soak or stove setup that complies with the no-fire rule.

Bring a sleeping bag and sleep system (nothing is supplied), and plan to manage your own food and waste. The shelter is also having a spring-style water source nearby for basic needs, which makes it a practical late-stage option on long GR91 traverses around the Moucherotte area.
