Abri du Neurod

Abri du Neurod is a free, unguarded backcountry shelter (1223 m) in the Vosges, meant for storm shelter and emergency overnight use. It has a fireplace/cheminée and comes with wood available; the interior floor is concrete and the shelter includes a bench. The shelter is to sit on the ridge a few hundred meters north of the col du Herrenberg, within the trees, and can be hard to spot in winter when snowdrifts hide it.
