Abri Saint-Jacques

Abri Saint-Jacques is a non-staffed backcountry shelter between Gérardmer and the tourbière of Lispach (Xonrupt-Longemer). Use is open access and it does not take reservations; plan on first-come, first-served use and bring what you need for an overnight stop.

Inside, there is a picnic table and a fireplace, with a gabled metal structure. For water, there is a source about 100 m east of the abri (Source de Saint-Jacques); it can run dry during prolonged dry spells, so carry backup water for the approach window you plan to arrive.
