Ancien moulin de Nougayrol

Ancien moulin de Nougayrol is a free, unstaffed backcountry resting stop in a former watermill by La Mare near the D22 and the GR 653. The ground floor is shut because it contains the millstone, but the first floor is accessible; it has been used by hikers as an emergency shelter/bivouac spot.

Expect limited utilities: there’s a tap and an electrical outlet, but they don’t function. A fireplace is available for making a fire, and the nearby water (La Mare) is the main source in the immediate area.
