Artigole de Bulan

Artigole de Bulan is an open pastoral shepherd’s hut in the French Pyrenees (Hautes-Pyrénées) near Bagnères-de-Bigorre, at about 1,400–1,440 m elevation. It’s an unstaffed shelter intended for hikers needing temporary refuge; during summer it may be actively used by the shepherd.

Expect basic sheltering with a fireplace, but don’t count on supplies—wood and water aren’t guaranteed. Use is typically free and first-come, first-served, with the expectation that you follow mountain etiquette (keep it clean and pack out what you bring).
