Baraque forestière de l'Echarina is a small, unstaffed backcountry shelter in the Vercors area, operating as free, unmanaged, and non-guarded accommodation. It’s intended for self-reliant trips and works on an open-access basis with no booking system—use is first-come, first-served.

The shelter sits at about 730 m elevation. It has basic hut facilities and is generally suitable for a small group (about 4–8 people). Plan as if you’ll need to bring your own food and supplies, and treat it as an emergency/backup overnight option rather than a service stop.
