Baraque Guillet

Baraque Guillet is an unstaffed wilderness hut at 1,409 m on the Vercors plateau. Use it as an emergency-style shelter: it’s free and there’s no booking system or fee-based reservation process, so access is first-come, first-served.

Bring your own sleeping gear (including a sleeping bag) plus your food and water. The hut sits near the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors Nature Reserve, where regulations can be strict—most importantly, follow limits on camping/bivouac and avoid activities that are prohibited in the reserve (such as fire). The hut is kept locked/closed in normal use, so treat it as an access-point for shelter rather than a staffed overnight refuge.
