Bergerie de la Jasse
Bergerie de la Jasse is a small, unguided backcountry shelter in the Taillefer area. It sleeps up to 8 people and is used as a simple shepherd’s shelter, so it can be occupied by livestock during the grazing season.
There’s no reservation system: use is first-come, first-served. Bring your own sleeping pad and warm sleeping bag, and plan to self-supply—visitors commonly find the hut with limited or no bedding. The hut has a wood stove and basic furnishings, but you’re expected to keep it clean and do not leave food, candles, or trash behind. The shepherd may also use the cabin during summer, and livestock presence means Great Pyrenees dogs can be in the area.
