Bergerie de Larata

Bergerie de Larata is an unmanned shepherd’s hut (bergerie) used as backcountry shelter in Corsica, on a hiking loop near the village of Ota. It’s a first-come, first-served option rather than a staffed refuge you can reserve in advance.

At 1,079 m, the hut is open as an emergency/trail shelter. It’s part of the Parc naturel régional de Corse hiking area, and it sits near Source de Larata; plan on carrying what you need and treating it as a simple shelter rather than a serviced hut.
