Cabane au dessus de Planfay

Cabane au dessus de Planfay is a small, unmanaged backcountry shelter in the Chartreuse area. The structure is basic: planches construction, with a sleeping bat-flanc (stacked sleeping platform) and a simple interior setup for emergency/bivouac use.

Access is typically via a forest track from Planfay (Proveysieux). The route is on foot from Planfay, and a water source can be within about 100 m; longer walking options in the same general area are also described. The shelter has limited comforts—no heating (no wood stove/indoor fireplace) and no potable-water reliability—so plan to carry what you need and expect cold, especially at night.
