Cabane d'Arclosan (also known as “Chalet Antoine”) is a small, unstaffed backcountry refuge at 1,760 m in the Bornes-Aravis massif. Use is free and there’s no reservation system—arrive prepared to camp in a basic, unmanaged shelter with only what you bring yourself.

It’s set up for up to about 5 people on simple bunks, and it includes a wood stove/poêle. The refuge is having no bedding and limited comforts, and hikers should plan for self-sufficiency: bring your sleeping system, food, and a stove method (and enough fuel), and pack out your trash.

Access is possible via forest tracks from Plan Montmin (follow the piste forestière to the Rapille, then work toward the chalets of the Mont and the Arpettaz/Crêt des Mouches trails). Other approaches are also from the Côte side and via Saint-Ferréol; the approaches are the main reason to plan routefinding carefully rather than relying on any maintained services at the hut.
