Cabane d'Artigusse

Cabane d'Artigusse is a non-guarded mountain hut in the French Pyrenees, used for backcountry overnights in the Néouvielle area. Use is free and it operates without an official booking system—plan on first-come, first-served sleeping on the available platforms (bas flancs).

The hut is at about 1,650 m and includes a fireplace along with wood and water provisions on-site/nearby, plus sleeping for up to 5 in winter and summer. It’s commonly used as a starting point for routes from the Artigusse area toward Lac de l’Oule and Lac d’Orédon, so expect it to be a link in longer Neouvielle lake itineraries rather than a standalone destination.
