Cabane de Bouleste

Cabane de Bouleste is a small unstaffed open mountain shelter in the French Pyrenees near Arrens-Marsous, used for night stops on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservation). It’s intended for very basic self-sufficiency: there are simple sleeping platforms, and you should bring your own sleeping bag and mat; a fire may be possible but you shouldn’t rely on wood being available.

Plan for limited capacity and minimal services—about 4–6 people on simple platforms. Water is typically available from nearby sources/streams on the approach, and the nearby hut networks and day-hike options in the area support both short outings and longer links on foot. Nearby hiking itineraries commonly start from Lac du Tech and take roughly a few hours to reach the cabane.
