Cabane de Côte-Belle
Cabane de Côte-Belle is a small backcountry shelter at about 1,550 m. It’s a simple, closed shelter with a wood stove, but it’s has no sleeping places (“abri sommaire, pas de couchages”), so plan to bivouac or bring your own setup.
Use is free (no fees) and it has a fireplace/wood-stove setup. A commonly approach goes via Villard-Notre-Dame or Les Gauchoirs using the “sentier direct de la Mariée. ” The shelter sits near local water sources, including the Source de Côte Belle and the Source du Vallon.
