Cabane de Doumblas

Cabane de Doumblas is a small, open backcountry shelter in the French Pyrenees, used for low-key overnighting without any attendant service. The hut has space for 4 people and includes a chimney for fire use, plus 4 wooden sleeping platforms (“bat-flanc”) and 4 metal chairs inside.

Plan for self-sufficiency: it’s not locked, and bedding is not provided (4 beds are configured as platforms). Water is available in the nearby river system (and there can be additional nearby water features like a waterfall nearby). Use the approach via the marked trail network toward refuge du larribet, and follow the junction to reach the hut. Use is free and first-come, first-served; there’s no reservable booking system for it.
