Cabane de Fontouse

Cabane de Fontouse is a small backcountry shelter in the Queyras area at about 2,090 m. It’s an unguarded structure with no equipment provided, and it’s is a simple shelter that serves as an emergency-style stop rather than a serviced refuge.

Use is restricted: the shelter has been is closed and locked, reserved for the local shepherd. Access is on foot via marked trails starting from Arvieux and the GR58 area, with the route taking you toward the Col de Fontouse (or Clausis) and using a cairned/marked approach early on.
